Meet the Mourne Mamas

Mourne Mamas was lovingly founded by Claudia Newell, a local mum who wanted to create the kind of support she needed after the birth of her daughter, Margot.

 

What started as a simple idea in February 2025 has grown into a thriving community of over 170 mums in the Mourne area - a warm, welcoming space where new mums can connect, share stories, and lift each other up through the highs and lows of motherhood.

Claudia is joined by two amazing mums who help keep the heart of the group beating strong. Heather Annett, mum to Darcie and owner of Twist and Split Gymnastics, offers her support behind the scenes and generously provides a cosy space for baby pilates and other sessions.

 

Ruth Newell, mum to Isla, brings her creative spark and talent to the group’s social media, helping spread the word and make every event feel special.
